Who Are We?
How Do We Help?
Engage Project is a highly specialised student-centred alternative provision, supporting young people who face challenges due to high levels of Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
Alternative provision settings are places that provide education for children and young people who do not thrive in a mainstream school or setting.
We offer bespoke, individualised learning and well being support packages to young people aged 7-16, who are currently having difficulty accessing education. We support young people of all academic abilities and use a personalised approach to ensure we get the best out of our learners.

We understand that the commute to a large school setting can be daunting for some learners, and can lead to them starting their day in a heightened state. Our building provides a small, nurturing environment where students will always feel welcome.

How & Why Was
Engage Project Set Up?
Having worked with young people in education and children’s services for a number of years, we identified the need for specialist provision within Barnsley and the surrounding areas.
Based on our collective experience we understand that a school environment and a standard provision of education is not suited to all. We provide a much-needed bespoke service.
Engage Project aims to address the fundamental challenges faced in supporting the education of of young people with SEND and SEMH needs.
What's Our ETHOS....
Our ethos is based on re-engaging the disengaged and connecting before correcting, in order for us to tailor students learning and life experiences during their time at Engage Project. We specialise in supporting young people who have barriers to learning.
